The Monviso (3.841 m) is a landmark in Piedmont! Its typically pyramid-shaped peak can be seen from many locations throughout the region. Here seen on a sunny December day, with the peak partially hidden by clouds.
These are my beautiful Alps! :) The red circle shows "my area" of the Alps. The Monviso is about in the South of that circle.

WAU - where a great picture you show of the Alps.
My son and his family take each year skiing in either Austria / France or Italy .....
The only mountain I've seen is Teide on Tenerife.
