Today, Cityblis.com will launch the Cityblis Media Center - an online pressroom combining ecommerce and digital publishing. This first-of-its kind online service gives reporters and journalists front row access to thousands of the world's best independent designers. Consolidating all digital content from high-resolution images to press releases into one central hub, the Media Center expands the international fashion platform to a whole new sector.

The idea is a combination of Reuters and Glam Media specifically developed for the fashion industry. "Cityblis is not just a fashion platform anymore. With the launch of the Cityblis Media Center, it is now also a full featured digital media hub," said Christopher Price, Chief Operating Officer. The Cityblis Media Center was developed in close collaboration with designers, journalists, bloggers and other media professionals. With designers like Sacha London and LASVIII Paris, the majority of Cityblis' invitation only community are already well-known brands in their own countries. The Cityblis Media Center is not only a powerful tool for designers. As you know, I am so excited about being on board Cityblis, the exclusive invitation-only designer platform. But I hadn't even realized what an amazing place it is to be, until I made a little reasearch by country... I was curious about who's there from Italy, and I found this exciting designer right under me: Flavia Padovan. The colorful banner caught my eye (of course!) and I had to find out more...

So i discovered Flavia's gorgeous handmade beachwear!

Flavia is a very succesful designer, more of her gorgeous designs are available on her website.

Flavia Padovan's collections are featured in top Italian magazines, and her customers include Italian celebrities such as actresses and TV stars!

WORKING ON MY CITYBLIS...

My dear friends, thank you so much for all your sweet words and congratulations for having been invited to Cityblis! I'm now working at building my page there, I can even add a webshop. It's still all in the raw, but I have started and I'm so excited! :) You can already see my work-in-progress on my Cityblis page.

Cityblis works with fashion magazines and fashion reporters, and it offers an amazing feature where designers can upload their own stories and press releases which will then be distributed to magazines and social networks. How exciting!!!

A DREAM-COME-TRUE

My dear friends, I'm very excited to tell you great news!!! I have been invited to Cityblis!!! This is a dream-come-true for a designer, since this is an invitation-only platform for independent designers and it is an amazing opportunity to get seen! I was SO excited when I received the email in which the US Creative Director told me that my submission had been accepted! The sentence which almost had me faint was "The selection committee and I have reviewed your designs and we think your designs are going to look amazing on Cityblis"... 

"Cityblis is more than just a platform. It is a community of creative talents and fashion savvy people. We are empowering designers to build their brands by working with fashion magazines, fashion networks, procurement houses, runway and trade shows all under one roof to let designers do what they do best – design great fashion."

It is so exciting, because "Cityblis not only allows designers to showcase their creativity but more importantly allows them to tell their story - giving you a sneak peek behind the designer, their products and their brands. (...) This is the place to meet new and exciting designers that are pushing the boundaries in the creative space. Find the coolest items from around the world that matches your personal style and most importantly…that no one else is wearing!"

I love the concept of Cityblis:

Design is all about individuality. And this starts with a unique personal page that is created for each designer where you can showcase, expand and also sell your designs. The biggest benefit to you is the opportunity to write about yourself!…about your life, your inspirations, your intentions and most importantly the story behind your designs. These stories are then sent to fashion magazines and bloggers around the world who are looking to write about new, interesting designers.

We understand each designer is unique. Your fashion and your brands are a representation of the message you want to convey to the world. And it shouldn’t be any different for the place you display your work. Each designer’s page is created uniquely for you. We do not believe in template or stock standard designs and your individuality is what makes you who you are!

FASHION AND ANNUK CREATIONS: A GORGEOUS BLOG FEATURE!

My dear friends, today I want to share with you my joy for a wonderful, amazing feature on a lovely blog by a dear friend of mine, fellow jewelry designer Dori from Hunkii Dorii. You may remember her from my Experimental Jewelry feature. Well, this lovely lady not only is a super talented jewelry artist, she has an amazing eye for color and for fashion! Look at this and you'll know why I'm... swooning! :) I feel like I've had my pieces worn by gorgeous models at a fashion show... Oh... dreaming... :)

Welcome to my new experimental series: Fashion Feature, in which I introduce artists and crafters and their works through fashion.

My fourth guest is Anna from AnnukCreations, who is a mixed media jewelry designer and who creates Mediterranean wearable art in her home in the Alps. She is greatly inspired by her travels, especially to Greece and the Aegean sea, the gold, blue and white colors of the which dominate in her designs. Looking at her creations you will undoubtedly smell the summer, the sea and the sun, feel the warmth of the white rocks on the beach and the sand between your toes. Anna's most beloved materials are wood, metal, wire, clay, glass and paint.
