CREATIVE CORNER

I'm working on the other pieces of beach pottery... I picked two pieces that have a smooth white glazed surface and I applied blue sand to them. Yes, sand! I used a special hardener, specifically designed to bind deco sand and sand in general into a firm mass. Usually this technique is used for pressing the mass into molds after mixing the sand with the hardener, but I decided to experiment and I applied the mass directly on the beach pottery pieces. After hardening the result is really nice and the blue sand is a firm and sturdy mass, I love the result!

The combination of blue and brown reminds me of the series I am currently working on... For example, this purse I just made: Brown and Blue - Recycled Fabric Zipper Pouch with vintage buttons

I wish I had a better name for the purse, and not just "Blue and Brown"! (Because I have many other blue and brown things to come, LOL.)
