SWEET SEPTEMBER

First signs of Autumn in the woods...

Autumn Crocus creates little colorful patches...

I'm fascinated by these old ruined houses and by the thought that life once thrived here...

Beautiful old stone walls... Some day archaeologists will find them buried under the thriving flora... like ancient Mayan ruins in the tropical forest...

Danke liebe Christa! :)
Die rosa/zartlila Blume ist eine Herbstzeitlose (colchicum autumnale)... vielleicht gibt es sie auch in Griechenland. Die alte Siedlung im Wald war noch im letzten Jahrhundert bewohnt...

Beautiful stone walls, and I love the climbing ivy. There is always something fascinating about old, empty houses in the woods. Though it's sad to see them they also make you think and wonder.
Great photos, Anna, and the autumn crocuses are lovely.
Enjoy your weekend. Hugs :)

To imagine that a person, the proud inhabitant of this house stood in that doorway...the ruins are beautiful, and your photos always.

Dearest Anna,
Lovely autumn crocus; yes they are real signs of a changing season.
What a pity that those houses turn to ruins... They are so special with the old stones!
Enjoy a lovely weekend!
Hugs,
Mariette

Beautiful pictures you show. I think that flowers are "a naked virgin) so called because it is leafless. Resembling much a crocus. Wish you a good Sunday in the Alps :) Hugs Hanne Bente ♥
