When I visited my dear cousin Sylvia on the Riviera, she gave me a few lovely beach pottery pieces she collected on the beach for me... knowing I will turn them into Mediterranean-inspired jewelry! :)
I love beach pottery, I love the way the sea turns pieces of pottery originally discarded by man into little art pieces that can once again have a new life as ornaments for people!
While beach pottery found on Greek beaches mainly consists of lighter pieces coming from discarded bricks and pottery (decorated plates and vases), beach pottery found on Italian coasts mostly consists of heavier pieces, decorated with intricate patterns coming from discarded tiles showing their original high quality glazing.

oh my goodness Annuk they are beautiful! the white is goregous in contrast to the clay - excited to see your work with them xxx
Those are pretty little pieces! Look how the force of the sea rounded and smoothed all the sharp edges! They must feel great holding them in the hand and rolling them around - and thinking about what to do with them!
Happy creating Anna! :-)
