CREATIVE CORNER: Working with Polymer Clay and Wood

I've been working with polymer clay again... I love the effect of turquoise-blue with dark wood. I made these free-hand formed disks using a custom mix of polymer clay in royal blue, turquoise and white (both opaque and translucent). Before oven hardening I added some glitter for an extra touch of light.

I'm going to use them together with these wooden beads... I just need to add a small bead and to form copper wire into a ring band...

Here I'm trying out the effect... :)
The idea is that the wooden bead is kind of "floating" on water... Ok, I'm dreaming about islands again... :))

Beautiful!

I've been to many Greek Islands, Anafi being my favorite. The color of your bead reminds me of sun reflecting on the painted blue doors on the island. Lovely!
