SPRING ON MY BALCONY

First spring flowers on my balcony...

I thought they are Hyacinth, but I guess they are something else - anyway what a gorgeous color!

Yael: well, yes, they are from the Hyacinth family, these flowers are a spontaneous variety that grows usually in wine-plantation areas (in German it's called Weinberghyazinthe), many years ago they just appeared spontaneously in my flower pot (I think the seeds were in the soil) and they've been thriving since then and showing their precious little flowers every spring!

They call them Grape Hyacinth here and to me they almost smell like wine...love them!

Very nice photos. Must be great pleasure having them on your balcony. The scientific (Latin) name of the flower is Muscari.
