Indian Summer and Chestnut Time!

The Indian Summer is coloring leaves in wonderful hues of yellow, orange and red here in the Alps. And it's chestnut time! The valleys of Piedmont are a traditional chestnut-growing area. I have picked some in the woods, where they grow wild, I love them roasted or boiled.

Wonderful colors! Not so common in the woods here where I live.

I think these colors are more common here in the Alps, as this change of colors requires cold nights and fairly mild and sunny days...
