A PERFECT LOCATION: ATTIKI HOTEL

There are locations that are exactly a dream-come for my creations! The Attiki Hotel in Rhodes is a small charming hotel with the typical medieval structure in sandstone, the typical stone of Rhodes. The Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town, and with just 10 rooms it offers a personal and very loving service. Mara and Francesco will welcome you in their magical oasis in the heart of the Old Town, along with their sweet cats. The charming hotel is surrounded by a wonderful shady terraced courtyard and garden, where guests can enjoy their breakfast or a refreshing drink amongst papaya trees, lemon trees, frangipane, bougainville and orange trees, or just day-dream their day away losing track of time.

This little hotel is the owners' dream-come-true, they have lovingly renovated an ancient mansion turning it into an oasis for the discerning traveler who wishes to live an unforgettable experience far away from mass tourism. The rooms have no numbers: they bear writers' names and no two rooms are the same, each has its own personality and style. Mara and Francesco are in love with fine handmade objects, which they like to offer their guests as an alternative to mass-produced souvenirs. This is part of their philosophy -- and I'm so lucky to be part of this, as some of my creations will be on exhibition in this enchanting little hotel. My jewelry is absolutely delighted, and so am I!

A DREAMY ART-CAFE

I love sitting in this lovely cafe-art gallery in the Old Town, and sipping my Greek frappe! The atmosphere is just dreamy, and I love having a chat with lovely owner Alexandra. Definitely a place to daydream a few hours away! You can see more pics on the cafe's website.

SYMI

My short stay on the magical, little island of SYMI was unforgettable... I will let images speak, because truly I have no words to describe the magic of this little, enchanting world lost in the blue Aegean Sea...

A room with a view...
Magical colors at sunset...

The night on Symi is dreamy and an unforgettable experience...

And what made my stay on Symi really special and unforgettable was meeting Jenine and Tina of the Olive Tree. Not only did they host my jewelry show in such a wonderful location, they made me feel right at home! I feel so happy for having had this fabulous opportunity to show my jewelry under the sky and sun that have inspired it so much, and for making lovely friends!
If you love peaceful and quiet surroundings, Symi is the island for you! No big buildings here, no mass tourism, no discos, just a few cars... and dreamy starry nights. And make sure you visit Jenine and Tina at the Olive Tree (in the upper village Chorio, just opposite the Fiona hotel) -- they make fab sandwiches, salads, cakes and lots of yummy goodies! But most of all you will find a cozy, friendly environment where you can just feel at home and relax...

The upper village Chorio is a dreamy oasis where time seems to stand still... Whitewashed houses and alleys, stairs and breathtaking views... the Greece you're dreaming of!

Goodbye Symi, you sweet little jewel! See you again soon!

Getting ready for my jewelry exhibition on SYMI!

I'm really excited, I'm going to have a jewelry show on the beautiful island of SYMI this coming Monday! Symi is an enchanting little island just a few miles off the Turkish coast of Anatolia and quite close to Rhodes too (50 minutes by speed boat). Time seems to stand still here, as mass tourism has never arrived and never will. Wonderful neoclassical houses line the main town's natural harbour, and the white-washed alleys and stairs leading up the hills are just dreamy.

The Olive Tree, a lovely cafe on Symi, is going to host my jewelry show, and I'm so excited and thrilled! The Olive Tree is a lovely location in the upper village (Chorio), and it's really more-than-just-a-cafe, as Jenine and Tina offer so much more than lovely drinks and food! They host lots of interesting events, they organize walking tours and even art classes. So this is a great location for my show!
